Easter Weekend

Phew, I think I need a long weekend to get over my long weekend.

Friday I ended up painting our banisters. It was a lot of work. Saturday, we started the day with a family walk and just kept going. It was Nana's birthday and I ended up making a last minute gift which was most appreciated by her (but next time, I won't do 20 pages in 2.5 hours!!). Silly me.

My last min stuff didn't stop, as I needed baskets for the kids, which I finally was able to locate at 8pm last night, then decorated. All worth it.

Somewhere in there we managed to decorate some eggs and have some more easter fun.

Of course the kids were all about the egg hunt this morning, of which they got to do twice. The first was in our living room, where they hunted down some goodies and got some art stuff to play with.

Then at 11am, the neighbours hosted one for all the kids, where they more than doubled their chocolate levels and had a ton of fun. Makes me realize even more that moving isn't important at all.

While the weather was supposed to be full of rain, we ended up having sunshine all day. Much nicer! And good to play with the camera.

This afternoon I have prepped what I am calling Grandma Graham's Easter Dinner. With ham, parsnips and chocolate eclairs. I totally forgot about the cucumber salad - but that's ok, I can do that another time. Mom and Dad are on their way down to have a traditional Sunday dinner - but I just want to skip to dessert!

Happy Easter.
