One of the main reasons I love to scrapbook is to capture memories on film, and give that photo a bit of a kick.
Growing up, there were photos taken, but not to the extreme extent I take photos. While I love capturing the special events like birthdays and Christmas', my favorite photos are of those 'everyday' moments. The moments that happen over dinner, or out at the same playground you visit a million times during childhood.
One of those moments came last week at dinner at my parents house. Mom isn't a big fan of her photo being taken, but I would give a million dollars to have more photos with my grandma, so I take them anyhow. And after last months health scares with her - the photo ops are even more important.
As you may have guessed if you read this blog - to get "good" pics of my kids, I allow them lots of silly shots too. I continue to take the pictures, assuming that I will just delete the pics. But this time, I found a challenge at Skrap N Chat that needed 8 photos, and I was glad to include the nice pic along with all the silly shots of the kids and Mom. Sometimes it just works.
